The Rachel Maddow Show: Now Live
from 6-8 p.m. Eastern!
 Howdy!
I'm writing to let you know the very good news that "The Rachel
Maddow Show" is moving to a new time slot: we'll be live from
6-8PM Eastern, on the Air America Radio network, starting today -
September 18, 2006.
As Kent Jones says, "We love to move time slots...and it
shows!"
This is the one we've been lusting after for a long time. A 6-8PM show
means we'll all be sleeping at NIGHT now, instead of the weird daytime
catnapping I've been doing for the past seven years in morning radio.
It also means that just as Washington is heading off for cocktails (not that we at TRMS have anything against
cocktails), we get to bring you the TRMS take on the key news and
events of the day, fresh and piping hot. And with less than two months
to go before the mid-term elections, we've added a new "campaign
countdown" segment to the show.
The ever-popular "Ask Doctor Maddow" call-in segment will
continue - though I'm not sure I can keep giving away stuff from my
desk as "Ask Doctor Maddow" prizes every week. (I've
successfully used the prize-giving to clean out my desk, and now Kent
Jones is starting to notice me stealing stuff from him to give away).

segment, daily news from Iraq, and of course, Kent
Jones Now!
If you're not sure if your local Air America affiliate station is
planning to carry the new afternoon/evening TRMS, or if you're not sure
what time it will be aired, please contact your local AAR station
directly. TRMS will also continue to be available live on XM satellite
radio, online at airamerica.com,
and via podcast.
Special note to NYC listeners: TRMS will now, once again, be available
live on the air, on the new AAR
flagship station at WWRL 1600 AM.
